From: samuel.crapo@myldsmail.net

Dear Family & Friends!
Hello! It is another week as a missionary! And its a good but busy weeeeeek.  Mum didnt really have any questions besides what time i was going to call this mothers day.  To answer that question i will be probably calling 6PM Cali Time.  So that is 7PM utah time.. But what i told dad is that i will call anywhere from 5-7cali time... so 6-8 utah time haha so just be ready for about 3 hours k? :D  I feel like i havent been out long enough to call home... its strange haha
But let's get started on my weeeeeek! (This may be a long email, a lot happened)
Monday 4-25-11
This was the day that i wrote last, but some good things happened too.  So while at monday funday (which was boring this week) we were playing games and what not and when we were done we went out to the truck and the YSA Girls had marked our car with window pens. (I'll send pictures) Well we had to go to Ventura the next day so we took it to the car wash. But we like to call it the Snarr wash, because of Elder Snarr.  His shy, so we sing that to him to get him out of his shell.
Then i came home and saw that me and Elder Pulham had packages. Mine was a package from Simon.  I was excited because this had JAY DAWG sauce in it!!!! BUT whoever put it in the box didnt put a lid on it, so there was jay dog sauce all over the other stuff in the package haha. (i'll send pictures)  But its still way nice to have it, i ate a whole pack of hotdogs in like... 3 days.. haha!
I washed my sheets monday too... i didnt get them done in time so i ended up sleeping on the couch haha.  That was... fun?
We went to Brother and Sister Moats' house for dinner, he reminds me of dad, just because the way he looks, except he's always laughing and smiling.  Dad doesnt laugh haha just kiddin.  But this guy was telling us of all the injuries he's had and the funniest one was he was unloading his truck, he had a whole bunch of heavy, huge pipes in the back, and he picked them up and let them roll down his body but they were so heavy the first one he rolled pushed all the blood down his legs and blood shot out of his toe!!!! EWWW!! hahaha he said his show was full of blood and when he got to the doctors office it had all dried up and when they took the shoe off it started squirting everywhere! SICK HUH!?!?! hahaha!
Tuesday 4-26-11
We left for district training early in the morning because we had to be in Ventura.  The meeting was ok, it was 4 1/2 hours long... but it was good.  Then we left and i drove all the way back to tehachapi.  We were running late for our dinner appointment but got to the Holloways house and ate Spaghetti! Yum! And then overall we checked how many miles we drove that day, it totalled around 300 miles... tons of driving :/
Oh and while i was driving, we drove over these railroad tracks. and you remember the movie "Hancock" with Will Smith? Well theres a scene where one of the guys stops on the tracks and is just about to get Clobbered by a train, and Hancock throws his car out of the way and takes the hit from the train, i'm pretty sure i drove over that EXACT same place haha.
Wednesday 4-27-11
We had companionship study over the phone with some elders in another area, that was weird but it turned out pretty good.
We stopped by Sister Alvis, She's a way nice lady that we are helping get back to church.
We helped Joe in the Bear Valley Ward with some yard work, cutting down trees and stuff.  He gave us Burgers and Stuff. He's not doing so well.  I guess he has had some issues with his health and also his wife left him :( Poor guy :(
We came home and showered, Opened Shelby Mail. 2 WHOLE LETTERS... crazy... haha
We did a little contacting...
Then we ate dinner at the Furse's house.
Then we gave Elder Snarr a Haircut... haha Eventful day..
Thursday 4-28-11
We had District Meeting in bakersfield... Woohoo...
We serviced the truck and it ended up costing around... $600 because we needed new tires and an Alignment haha.
And the cool thing was, while we were at the car place, we met a really cool guy.  He's Zach Galafanakis' stunt double. haha it was so cool, he is actually the Stunt Coordinator for TONS of movies, and he played zach in a whole bunch of movies.  It was cool. He gave me an update of all the sweet movies i've been wondering about.  But this guy i guess is friends with tons of famous people.  He is way nice and he spoke to us for like an hour.  When i saw the picture of him dressed up like Zach Galafanakis standing next to him on the set of "The Hangover 2" i was like "NO WAY!!!!" hahaha it was sweet. He's a way cool guy.
We Visited Sister Moore and "Grandma" haha Grandma will be making dish cloths for the kitchen and she'll call mum to see what colors she wants.
We contacted less actives and it was a weird windy night. and me and my comp came in and just had a bad feeling, so he called up all the elders in the district to see if they were ok.  And i asked him if there was anyone he was thinking about, and he said brother moffat, so he called brother moffat up and talked to him but then he cut out on the phone, so we just sat their and tried to think of why we were having a funny feeling.  And then there was a bang at the door, it was brother Moffat.  He was in his Highway Patrol get up and was bored so he came and spoke with us for a while.  And we were thinking, either we kept brother moffat away from danger or he kept us away from danger because he parked his Police car in the middle of the driving spots haha.  So who knows?
Friday 4-29-11
We took the truck to get the alignment done, we put bikes in the back and rode them to the other missionaries place so we could get our studies in.  It was a COLD morning and biking hurt haha.
We stopped by at an old fashioned diner for breakfast, it was pretty tasty!
We picked up the truck and went to the Chiropractor, he gave me and elder Snarr adjustments.  And there was a new Chiropractor lady that needed to get some experience and she's a member too, so they took Elder Pulham And Elder Haynie and this lady was so tiny, she had a big box she stood on so she could get high enough to pop their backs and stuff.  She was like literally jumping on them to get their backs to pop haha it was so funny.
We went to the church to do some weekly planning, then we left to eat lunch. (pasta roni) and then we went to the church and helped set up for a ward chili cook off and some guy took us to Taco bell after and then we had dinner at 6 so we were so FULL it wasnt even funny. It hurt haha.
We finished planing and then Visited heavenlee to go over baptism stuff.
Saturday 4-30-11
We ate Breakfast at the Lieshmans as usual.
We went to brite lake and helped with the "Mormon Helping Hands" Assignment. My Allergies were killing me! But i guess we made the Tehachapi news paper! With our picture and names and everything, i'll have to see if i can find a copy.
We went home and pulham had a package, but they brought out one for me and so i got one too! YAY! i was looking forward to it so thank you very much for all the things you sent! I like the ties too!
We went to the church and filled the font for Heavenlee's Baptism.  And it was a good Baptism.  Elder Pulham Baptised her.
Then after that there was the ward chili cook off.  And me and Elder Pulham and the Bishop were the "Judges" there was 19 pots of chili haha and after i got a mouth full of the hottest one, i couldnt taste the rest... haha but it was cool because one of the guys that was Less active for 23 years came with his kids that we are teaching and he won 3rd place, he was so happy.  I'll send pictures of this event as well.  but it was a lot of fun.
Sunday 5-1-11
We went to churuch and Heavenlee asked me to Confirm her... man.  I was so nervous haha my legs were buckling.  But it was really cool and an awesome experience to be apart of.
It was fast sunday also and i think when you're in church for 8 hours, it makes things worse haha.  So by the time we got to the Bethke's house i was eating so much! Lasagna! haha the Bethke's are awesome! I'm still working with max.  he's a pro at shaking, and sitting, and now i'm training him to lay.  While we were at the Bethke's we sat out in their backyard around a fire, and then we watched the Breaking News that OSAMA is dead.  Its about dang time haha it seems too good to be true so i still have my doubts.
Anyways! I cant wait to call you guys and i am excited that you guys seem to be doing well.  You're always in my prayers! Love you lots!
Love
Elder Crapo
P.S. We have two more with a date and another told us she wants to get baptized so maybe by the time i write you again, we'll have 3 with a baptisimal Date! The work is on fire!
